About Us

 BARDS has established a special school for Intellectually Challenged children in the year 1995 at Nandyal town and called as Usha Mano Vikas. The main objective of the Usha Mano Vikas school is to provide special services especially the Intellectually Challenged children and to improve their abilities in all aspects, and to lead their lives independently also to reduce burden to the society. 

Backward Areas Rural Development Society (BARDS) is humanitarian, non-profit making voluntary service oriented, non-governmental and registered organization under society act XXXI of 1980 with Reg No. 474 of 1993. It is register under Income tax act of 12 A and also FCRA division, Ministry of Home affairs, Government of India Reg. No. 010270080 of 1998. The BARDS is working for the upliftment of the downtrodden masses with special focus on women & child development, disabled children in backward areas of Nandyal & Kurnool districts. 

 The main objective of these special education and services is to provide good quality and hygienic food and good shelter in an integrated manner. So from the initial stage to present phase, we are rendering our extraordinary services with free of cost and we are not collecting any fees from parents. It is perfectly social oriented and cause based. We are only focusing on local donations and we are doing this great service with sincere, prayer and kind blessings of our god and a good word from Holy Bible, that is “open thy mouth wide and I will fill it”. (Psalms 81.10)
